Joseph Abruscato

Joseph Abruscato, president of syndication consulting firm Pro-Synd, died Aug. 22 of natural causes at his home in Tarzana. He was 62.

Abruscato worked for Columbia Pictures Television for 30 years, starting out in film distribution in New York. He moved to Los Angeles in 1973, where he eventually became the VP of special marketing for the “Barney Miller” TV series. In 1984 Abruscato formed Pro-Synd, and worked as a consultant for numerous domestic and international clients.

He is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.
