Catherine Polk, a projection scheduler for Universal Studios for the past seven years, died Aug. 7 of complications resulting from pneumonia at her home in North Hollywood. She was 43.
Born and reared in Jersey City, she relocated to Los Angeles in 1980 where she worked in talent management and served as a writer for Music Connection. She segued to the film biz where she worked in various capacities for companies including Crown Intl., Triton Pictures and finally Universal.
She is survived by her son, a sister and father.
A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Thursday at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 10828 Moorpark St., North Hollywood.
