Paul Robinson has been upped to senior veep, deputy general counsel, at Warner Music Group.
In his new post, Robinson will take on more responsibilities managing the day-to-day operations of Warner Music’s legal division. He will continue to report to the group’s exec VP and general counsel, Dave Johnson.
Robinson’s “thorough grasp of the complexities of this business and the high regard with which he is held by executives and attorneys inside and outside the company have enabled him to play an increasingly important role,” Johnson said.
First teaming with Warner Music in 1995, Robinson most recently worked as the company’s VP and associate general counsel. Previously, Robinson served as a partner in the entertainment law firm Mayer, Katz, Baker, Leibowitz and Roberts. He has also held the post of director of business affairs at ad agency Young & Rubicam.
