Rapper Eminem, whose debut “The Slim Shady LP” is the nation’s bestselling rap album, has inked a worldwide co-publishing deal with Famous Music.
The deal, which includes Eminem’s production company FBT Prods., gives Famous a stake in future songwriting efforts by the 23-year-old rapper.
Eminem’s Aftermath Entertainment/Interscope album has sold more than 1 million units since its bow less than two months ago.
Sales of the disc have been led by the kickoff single “My Name Is,” which has become a radio and musicvid channel staple.
“Eminem is an exciting new rapper with multiformat appeal and a unique lyrical style,” said Famous prexy Ira Jaffe.
