Anti-Defamation League presents lecture with producers, reporters

The Anti-Defamation League will present a lecture tonight entitled “The Power of the Written Word” featuring moderator Meryl Marshall, chairman of the board, Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and prexy of Two Oceans Entertainment Group.

Lecture will examine the work of TV writers, screenwriters, authors, and playwrights, while exploring issues such as tolerance, diversity and extremism.

Guest panelists include Steve Levitan, creator/executive producer of “Just Shoot Me” and “Stark Raving Mad”; Gardener Stern, co-executive producer of “Chicago Hope”; Brian Lowry, TV industry reporter, Los Angeles Times; and Lynette Rice, TV industry reporter, Entertainment Weekly.

Program begins at 8 p.m. at the Wyndham Bel Age Hotel’s Grand Salon, 1020 North San Vicente Blvd., L.A., CA 90069. A cocktail reception precedes the lecture at 7 p.m.
