Spain’s Amigo bows shingle

Well-known Spanish producer Ana Amigo, former director of international co-productions at Sogetel, has formed her own film and TV production shingle, Fiesta P.C.

The outfit, which aims to move into upscale production with an international focus, teams Amigo with the young writing partnership of Jose Angel Esteban and Carlos Lopez and veteran director and producer Manuel Matji.

Fiesta P.C.’s first production, the $2.5 million comedy “Kisses for Everyone (Besos para todos),” will be directed by Jaime Chavarri. Written by Esteban and Lopez, who penned the original treatment for Fernando Trueba’s “The Girl of Your Dreams,” “Kisses” will star Eloy Azorin (from Cannes competition entry “All About My Mother) and Adriana Ozores.

Fiesta is also preparing a second project, six-hour docu, “Arrebatos,” in which six young Spanish directors deliver their takes on Spanish film modern classics. The series looks set to be produced by prestige paybox Canal Plus Spain.
