Company plans to expand
BERLIN — Advanced Medien AG has become the latest in an increasing number of German entertainment companies to go public.
The capital generated by the floatation on Frankfurt’s Neuen Markt index in the fall will be used to expand the company’s business in film licensing, distribution, video and DVD sales, and co-production and co-financing of bigscreen projects.
Advanced Medien was established in 1980 and controls more than 1,000 film licenses. Execs at the Oberhaching-based company said they are expecting revenues of DM58.5 million ($30 million) this year, an increase of 270% over 1998.
