'Dralion' will rear it's head across North America

MONTREAL — The new touring show from Cirque du Soleil will be called “Dralion,” a name inspired by a legendary Chinese creature that is half-dragon, half-lion.

The creation from the Montreal-based circus will have its world premiere on April 22, under the Big Top in the East End of Montreal. Following its run, the show will be hitting the road across North America for Cirque’s two-year road trip. More details of the show will be announced in the coming weeks.

The creative team behind “Dralion” includes Cirque director of creation Gilles Ste-Croix, director Guy Cron and set designer Stephane Roy.
