West End tuner lines up performers for States run

NEW YORK — The Broadway production of the stage musical “Saturday Night Fever” has lined up performers for its leading roles. James Carpinello will play Tony Manero, the part made famous by John Travolta in the movie, and Paige Price will play the female lead, Stephanie Mangano.

Carpinello starred in last summer’s Off Broadway hit “Stupid Kids” and recently appeared in a Los Angeles production of “The Rocky Horror Show.”

The musical, adapted from the hit film and featuring its famous Bee Gees tunes, opened in London more than a year ago spring and continues to play in the West End. The Broadway version opens at the Minskoff Theater in October.

Carpinello is repped by Bonnie Bernstein at Endeavor.
