Sundance unveils Frontier picks

  • “The Works of Faith Hubley,” a survey of the work of the celebrated animator.

  • “Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992,” director Marc Levin’s presentation of Anna Deavere Smith’s widely seen stage work.

  • “Via Dolorosa,” director John Bailey’s film of David Hare’s one-man theater piece.

    The Frontier section will include the following films:

  • “Beau Travail” (Good Work), Claire Denis’ Venice, Toronto and New York fests hit, to be released by New Yorker Films.

  • “El Valley Central,” James Benning’s formal vision of California farm country.

  • “Juan, I Forgot, I Don’t Remember,” Mexican director Juan Carlos Rulfo’s avant-garde memory piece that appeared at Montreal and To-ronto.

  • “Experimental Shorts,” a diverse program.
