Deal estimated at low- to mid-six figures
Sony Pictures Entertainment has bought a pitch from scribes Jon and Erich Hoeber (“Montana”) for their thriller “White Out.”
Acquired for low- to mid-six figures, the pitch will be developed by Wolfgang Petersen’s Col-based Radiant Prods., and the brothers will pen the script.
“White Out” centers on a female U.S. marshal who is living in self-imposed exile in Antarctica, but whose quiet life of relative solitude is changed when she is called upon to investigate the first murder on that continent.
Pitch was brought into Radiant Prods. by its senior veepee Sam Dickerman and will be produced by Radiant’s Gail Katz and Petersen as a possible directing vehicle for Petersen, whose upcoming pic, “The Perfect Storm” will be released by Warner Bros.
Col exec veepee Amy Baer will shepherd the project for the studio.
The Hoeber brothers were repped in the deal by Angela Chang, who recently joined the Gersh Agency.
