Joel Schumacher will receive the 1999 ShowEast Award of Excellence in Filmmaking. The helmer will receive the award on Oct. 20 before the screening of his MGM/UA pic “Flawless,” which stars Robert De Niro and Philip Seymour Hoffman.

ShowEast unspools Oct. 18-21 at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City.
Schumacher directed such pics as “Batman Forever,” “The Client” and “A Time to Kill.”
