CBS has inked a talent holding deal with actress and comedienne Mary Birdsong.
Birdsong appeared on Comedy Central’s “Viva Variety” last season and currently does recurring characters for “Late Night With Conan O’Brien.”
A graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Birdsong recently starred in her own one-woman comedy show, “The Very Mary Birdsong Show,” which she performed at comic stomping ground, HBO’s Workspace Theater, after launching it in Gotham. She has also appeared in the indies “Above Freezing” and “Snow Days.” Birdsong is repped by UTA and manager Peter Principato.

Gregg Henry (“Payback”) has joined the cast of “Sleep Easy, Hutch Rimes” alongside Steven Weber and Swoozie Kurtz for director Matthew Irmas. Henry will play a reformed ex-con, who returns to his family after a stint behind bars. Pic centers on an insurance company suit who becomes involved in a murder plot.
Henry, who has a recurring role on CBS’ “Family Law,” is at work on Propaganda’s “The Recycler” for director Steven Hanft. Henry is repped by Tammy Rosen at Propaganda and Susan Smith & Associates.
