NEW YORK — Photographer Pat York has optioned “The Marzipan Pigeon,” Alicia Donati’s book about a love affair in the New York art scene.
York, wife of actor Michael York, has already written the screenplay and will make her helming debut with the pic, to be co-financed by Morgan Mason’s London Films and Roger Corman’s Concorde/New Horizons.
In York’s adaptation, the action shifts from the Gotham painting world of the late ’80s to a present-day community of Los Angeles photographers. Story concerns an obsessive crush a shy 23-year-old woman holds for an art scene hipster who loves her like a brother.
Donati is repped by CAA.
