Miramax shuffles buyers: Kohn director, Brodlie VP

Acquisitions execs to be based out of Los Angeles

Miramax Films has reshuffled the ranks of its acquisitions department with the appointment of Howard Kohn to director of acquisitions and Matt Brodlie upped to veepee.

Both Kohn and Brodlie will be based in Los Angeles, reporting to the team’s exec VP of acquisitions and co-productions Agnes Mentre and senior veeps Jason Blum and Amy Israel.

Brodlie and Kohn round out the division, which also includes manager of acquisitions Michelle Krumm.

Additionally, Michael Cole, former senior vice prexy of acquisitions and strategic planning, has joined the company’s production department.

Kohn comes to Miramax with 13 years under his belt working for both indies and studios. Most recently, Kohn served as senior director of sales for Le Monde Entertainment (Alliance Communications), where he was responsible for the sales efforts in both foreign and domestic markets.
