MGM gets spring fever

Stoteraux, Fiveash penned for Original

MGM has bought a comedy spec script by James-Patrick Stoteraux and Chad Fiveash for Original Film. Setting is college spring break; Neal Moritz and Brad Luff will produce.

“We were going for a sophisticated approach to the ’80s spring break genre,” said Stoteraux, “but when that didn’t work, we threw in all the T&A jokes we could think of.”

Luff described the film as “a fresh approach to spring break movies. The script has some great comedic set pieces.”

Script from Stoteraux and Fiveash, who are in their final year at Columbia U.’s graduate film program, was brought to Luff’s attention by Original Film development assistant Justin Rosenblatt.

Stoteraux and Fiveash are repped by Richard Genow of Stone, Meyer and Genow.

Project will be handled at MGM by Kahli Small.
