‘Lines’ up for Moore, Fox

Helmer makes feature debut in Van Der Beek starrer

Fox has tapped commercial helmer John Moore to make his feature directorial debut with “Behind Enemy Lines.”

Pic will begin production in April.

John Davis (“Dr. Dolittle”) will produce and James Van Der Beek (“Varsity Blues”) is attached to star. Alex Blum will be a co-producer. Wick Godfrey, senior veep of Davis Entertainment, will serve as exec producer.

Twentieth Century Fox prexy Hutch Parker will oversee the project.

Davis’ producing credits include “The Firm, “Courage Under Fire,” “Gumpy Old Men” and “Predator.” He is currently producing “Breakers” at MGM.

Story revolves around a young Air Force pilot and a veteran Marine who, downed during a surveillance operation over hostile territory, fight for survival against a renegade general.

Moore, a commercial director working out of Headquarters production company in Santa Monica, is most known for Sega Dreamcast’s spot titled “Apocalypse.”

Moore is repped by UTA.
