Dugan eyes ‘Silverman’

Director doesn't go to 'Winterdance'

Helmer Dennis Dugan (“Big Daddy”) is circling “Saving Silverman” for Village Roadshow Pictures — although the company is still in search of a domestic partner for the project.

Dugan had been considering directing “Winterdance” for Disney and producer Jordan Kerner but opted out.

In “Silverman,” penned by Greg DePaul and Hank Nelken, two buddies team up to save their best friend from marrying the wrong woman.

Neal Moritz and Brad Luff are producing and the project is said to be on the fast track at Village Roadshow, where it will be shepherded by Matt Bierman, Bernie Goldmann and chairman Bruce Berman.

The comic scribes also penned the script “Wrecked,” currently in development at New Line.

Dugan’s directing credits include “Brain Donors” and “Problem Child.”

Dugan is repped by UTA.
