Musicvid helmer Nicholas Brandt will direct the dramatic thriller “Bleeding the Line” for Presto Prods. and Willi Baer’s Eternity Pictures.
Pic, written by playwright Chris Boal, tells of a bizarre relationship between a serial killer and a brilliant comic-book artist.
Baer will produce “Line” with Presto’s Charlie Loventhal, Scott Valentine and Stephen Greenwald. Baer will provide financing for the pic.
Baer most recently executive produced Robert Altman’s “Cookie’s Fortune,” Sofia Coppola’s “The Virgin Suicides” and “Map of the World,” starring Sigourney Weaver.
Brandt is also attached to direct the drama “Sugar Mountain,” for producers Clifford and Ellen Green, Outlaw Prods. and Warner Bros., and the fantasy drama “Kindred,” for Joni Sighvatsson’s Palomar Pictures.
ICM’s Christian D’Andrea and David Unger, manager Gary Ungar and attorney Warren Dern brokered Brandt’s deal.
