Visual Effects taps officers for board

Rosendahl, Hollander on panel

The Visual Effects Society has elected two new officers to its board of directors.

Carl Rosendahl, prexy of Pacific Data Images, has been elected to serve as first vice chair, while Richard Hollander, prexy and senior creative director of the feature film and theme park division of Rhythm & Hues, has been tapped as secretary.

Both Rosendahl and Hollander will serve two-year terms, expiring in 2001.

Returning board members include chair Jim Morris, prexy of Lucas Digital LLC; second vice chair Mark Galvin, executive producer at ShadowCaster; and treasurer Toni Pace-Carstensen, segment producer for Walt Disney’s upcoming “Fantasia 2000.”

The return officers’ two-year terms will expire in January 2000.
