Roberts VP of new media for Fox Family

Exec to o'see online and interactive developments

John P. Roberts has been upped to veep of new media for Fox Family Worldwide.

In the new position, Roberts will be responsible for the implementation and ongoing development of Fox Kids Network online and Fox Family Channel online, and will continue to produce original content for those Internet sites.

He will also create Web sites for Fox Family Channel’s recently announced digital TV networks, the Boyz Channel and the Girlz Channel.

In addition, Roberts will spearhead the newly formed Fox Family convergence task force exploring opportunities in interactive and enhanced television.

He will report to Rich Cronin, prexy and CEO of Fox Family Channel and Fox Kids Network.

Roberts joined Fox Family Worldwide in January 1998, as director of online entertainment. He is responsible for the creation and launch of the Fox Family Channel Web site as well as separate Web sites for its affiliates.

Prior to joining Fox Family, Roberts served as director of new business development and production at Universal Studios New Media Group.
