Intertainment to b'cast full-length films online

‘Netcaster Kanakaris Communications plans to build a 50,000-square-foot facility for the production of online and low-budget theatrical films, as well as live Webcasts.

The Intertainment Studio, to open next year, will be based in Newport Beach — near the 405 Freeway and Jamboree Boulevard, close to the John Wayne Airport, South Coast Plaza and Fashion Island. An existing structure is being remodeled for the facility.

Kanakaris, which broadcasts more than 60 full-screen, full-length films online for free, will retain its current corporate and hardware/technical division offices in nearby Costa Mesa.

Kanakaris will share the facility with a yet-to-be-named Internet service provider.
