Bob Meyer has been upped to director of movies, miniseries and specials at NBC Entertainment.
Meyer will oversee all print and electronic publicity campaigns for NBC’s primetime longform programs and specials, reporting to the net’s VP of publicity Rebecca Marks.
Most recently, Meyer was manager of the company’s publicity and electronic campaign division, drumming up buzz for the comedies “Frasier” and “3rd Rock From the Sun.”
A 12-year vet of NBC, Meyer has also served as the net’s senior press manager. Past accomplishments include supervising campaigns for “Wings,” “Cheers,” “A Different World,” “The Facts of Life,” “Blossom,” “Alf” and “Quantum Leap.”
Prior to joining NBC, Meyer was a program publicist with the Fox Broadcasting Co., where he promoted the launch of “Married … With Children” and “The Tracy Ullman Show.”
