Online search service FasTV.com has boosted its entertainment-based video offerings, inking distribution deals with 20th Century Fox, Fox Family Channel, the Game Show Network, MovieFlix.com, along with music labels Capitol Records and DreamWorks Records.
As part of the deals, users of FasTV.com will be able to search for trailers, musicvids, behind-the-scenes footage and celebrity interviews provided by the companies.
“We’re excited to expand the entertainment offerings with such prestigious partners and provide a place for consumers to access news and information about their favorite movies, music and entertainers,” said Bill Swegles, prexy and chief operating officer of FasTV Inc.
Other than broadcasting video provided by New Line Cinema, Miramax and MGM-UA, FasTV.com has primarily focused on Netcasting news clips.
The Los Angeles-based company already has distribution deals with 45 media firms, including CNN, CNNfn, Reuters, Bloomberg and the American Film Institute, to deliver searchable video in news, sports, business, entertainment and lifestyle vidclips. “Video is the most visually exciting element of the Web, and entertainment highlights are especially appealing to consumers in this category,” said Chuck Ball, veep of marketing and business development at FasTV.
