Netcaster Always Independent Films will stream 83 feature films and shorts during its online film festival, running through Sunday on Yahoo!’s Broadcast Services.
Pics, showing four per day, will compete in six different categories and can be viewed at both broadband and normal ‘Net speeds.
AIF prexy Gary Zeidenstein said fest organizers have high hopes for the winners of their competish. “We think that this festival will bring unprecedented exposure and unparalleled recognition to our selections,” he said.
“Look at what happened to ‘The Blair Witch Project’ … the Internet can make it happen,” added the company’s programming VP, Amine Bitar.
