RTL, Helkon Media sign licensing deal

GERMANY

Commercial TV broadcaster RTL has signed a three-year licensing agreement with film production/distribution group Helkon Media. Deal provides the station with rights to pics such as “House on Haunted Hill,” “Waking Ned Devine” and the Leslie Nielsen vehicle “”2001 — A Space Travesty,” a $45 million Helkon co-production.

Munich-based Helkon is one of Germany’s leading movie license brokers, regularly supplying films to Germany’s broadcasters.
