Howard Meyers has been named senior VP, business affairs, for USA Films, as the amalgamation of October Films and Gramercy Pictures begins to define itself.
USA prexy Russell Schwartz said: “By expanding our business affairs department, we will be able to stick to our mandate — which is to make good movies.
“Howard has worked with some top-notch filmmakers and projects, and we want him to do the same here.”
Meyers served for two years as a business affairs exec at MGM. Prior to that, he was assistant general counsel at Warner Bros., where he was the production attorney on “Eyes Wide Shut,” “The Matrix” and “City of Angels.”
