Exec to o'see strategic, financial planning operations
HOLLYWOOD — Lawrence Hariton has been named chief financial officer for Universal Studios Home Video.
Hariton will be responsible for all strategic and financial planning operations for U’s homevideo sector, and will specifically oversee the integration of sales and marketing initiatives to accommodate the flow of products from Universal Pictures, DreamWorks and Lions Gate and direct-to-video entertainment from Universal Family and Home Entertainment Prods.
He will continue with his current duties as senior VP, direct account management for Universal Music and Video Distribution.

Hariton joined Universal in 1996 as VP, direct retail planning and category management for Universal Studios Home Video. He previously served as prexy of Pacifica Health Options and was prexy and CEO of Aqua Purity Sentinel.
