Trimark Pictures has upped Guy Stodel to veepee of acquisitions, where he will oversee the department, continuing to report to exec veepee Peter Block.
Stodel, who has been with Trimark since 1997, was involved in the acquisitions of “Another Day in Paradise,” “Cube” and “Romance,” and was instrumental in bringing the NBC library to Trimark’s homevideo distribution division.
Stodel arrived as manager of international acquisitions and was quickly upped to director. Prior to his work at Trimark, Stodel served as director of distribution/sales for Santa Monica Pictures and as a creative exec for Todd-AO/TAE Prods.
Trimark Television recently produced “The Simple Life of Noah Dearborn,” featuring Sidney Poitier and Dianne Wiest.
