Twentieth Century Fox has upped Ann J. Thompson to vice president of international marketing, based in Los Angeles.
In her new post, Thompson, who has served as director of marketing services since 1997, will continue to be involved in the marketing campaigns for Fox’s overseas theatrical releases. She will continue to report to international marketing exec VP Scott Neeson.
During her tenure at Fox, Thompson has worked on international marketing campaigns for such pics as the “Star Wars” trilogy special edition re-release, “The Full Monty,” “Titanic” and “There’s Something About Mary.”
Thompson currently is working on the international issues of “Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace” and “Entrapment” as well as upcoming releases “The Fight Club,” “Anna and the King” and “The Beach.”
The UC Santa Barbara grad joined Fox two years ago from Turner Pictures worldwide distribution, where she was a director of international distribution.
