AMSTERDAM — Swedish film giant Svensk Filmindustri has moved to expand further into business-to-business television with the buy up of a minority stake in SatNet Norwegian business TV company.
SatNet is involved with the production, development and management of digital TV and Internet-based business-to-business communications, one of several “parallel markets SF plans to enter into,” noted SF prexy and CEO Rasmus Ramstad.
SF has taken a minority share in SatNet, but plans to expand that to a majority share in the near future.
The Swedish film and distrib outfit plans to merge an already existing business-to-business unit in its subsidiary Wegelius TV with SatNet. SF is projecting SatNet’s revs will triple by next year to some NOK 60 million ($8 million).
