'Creative differences' led to exec's resignation

Fox Family publicity senior VP Barry Stagg ended a five-year run at Saban Entertainment when he resigned his position this week.

“Barry has made a significant contribution to our company, and we wish him all the best in his next endeavor,” said Haim Saban, chairman and CEO of Fox Family Worldwide.

Stagg was originally brought on board to establish the first-ever inhouse publicity department for the fam-friendly producer. During his tenure at the company, Stagg helped build the company’s “Power Rangers” franchise and led the communications campaign for the fledgling Fox Family Channel in 1997.

Sources at the company said Stagg had “creative differences” over the direction of his career at the channel and will pursue other projects.
