NEW YORK — Gotham-based independent studio the Shooting Gallery has announced that former Universal veep of production Andrew Given will fill the newly created position of production president.
As production prexy, Given will oversee both creative development and physical production for the Shooting Gallery. He will also supervise the rollout of the company’s Manhattan-based production facilities, This Gun for Hire, into other major markets.
Given’s background is in physical production. A former location and production manager, he negotiated all major below-the-line agreements while at Universal. He supervised such films as “Liar Liar,” “Primary Colors” and “Patch Adams,” as well as upcoming pics “For the Love of the Game,” “Bowfinger” and “Mystery Men.”
Given will report directly to Shooting Gallery CEO Larry Meistrich.
