Paramount Pictures has confirmed the appointment of Chip Diggins to senior veepee of production for the Motion Picture Group, effective immediately (Daily Variety, July 13).

Diggins joins the studio from Red 56, the indie production company he founded in 1997. Prior to that, he ran Barry Levinson’s Baltimore Pictures from 1995 to 1997.
