Carsey-Werner-Mandabach’s Courtney Conte has joined Oxygen Media as senior VP, production.
Oxygen also announced that former VH1 exec Nicholas Caprio has joined the company as VP, production. Caprio, previously director of West Coast production at VH1 and head of production for Gay Rosenthal Prods., will report to Conte. Both Caprio and Conte will be based in Los Angeles.
Founded in 1998 by Geraldine Laybourne in partnership with Marcy Carsey, Tom Werner, Caryn Mandabach and Oprah Winfrey, Oxygen is set to launch as a cable network for women in February.
Conte, who has served as executive VP, production, for Carsey-Werner since 1994, will continue in that capacity while working for Oxygen.
At Carsey-Werner, Conte is responsible for overseeing all elements of production for the company’s current projects, including “3rd Rock From the Sun,” “Cosby,” “That ’70s Show” and “God, the Devil and Bob.”
