HOLLYWOOD — Karen Zimmer has been named executive vice president for information services at New Line Cinema.
She joined the company in 1994 and was promoted to senior VP of the division two years later. Based in New York, Zimmer is responsible for developing and supporting New Line’s business systems worldwide.
“In the ever-changing world of information services, Karen has been a proficient leader who has kept New Line on top of the latest technological advances,” said chief financial officer Steve Abramson. Zimmer, he went on, has guided the company’s high-tech upgrades as well as its efforts to combat Y2K computer challenges.
Zimmer spent nine years at Paramount Pictures and before that was a systems engineer for IBM.
