Veep to o'see public affairs, press for EU, Middle East, Africa
BRUSSELS — The Motion Picture Assn. (MPA) has announced the promotion of Harvey Rouse to the key role of vice president and director of European Union Affairs and European Television.
Rouse will also continue to oversee the public affairs and press communications policy for the MPA Europe, Middle East and Africa office located in Brussels.
He will report directly to Chris Marcich, senior vice president of the MPA Brussels office.
Rouse is taking over the supervision of TV industry issues at a critical time. The European television market is on the cusp of a period of radical change, which will have a major impact on Europe’s audiovisual landscape in the 21st century.
A British national fluent in French and Spanish, Rouse began his career in Brussels working in the European Parliament and has held posts at the European Commission and in public relations and public affairs outfits.
