Veeps to o'see direct-to-vid, creative services

Walt Disney Television Animation has pinned veepee stripes on two creative execs.

Ellen Gurney, formerly director of vid premieres, movietoons and specials, supervises the development of direct-to-video productions, a fast-growing area of activity for the Mouse House.

Among the 30 projects on the boards are a sequel to “Lady and the Tramp,” “Another Goofy Movie” and “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas.”

Roy Price has advanced from director of development and current programming to VP of creative affairs, overseeing new development and existing series in ABC’s Saturday morning lineup and Disney’s upcoming Whomptastic cartoon slate for UPN.
