Monarch/Regency sneaks more shares in Puma

Milchan pleased with Puma's progress

Arnon Milchan’s Monarch/Regency has increased its investment in athletic sneaker manufacturer Puma from 25% to 32%.

The German sportswear company upped sales by 14.3% in the first half of ’99 and has placed its logo on 13 NFL and nine NBA teams’ uniforms for the upcoming season.

“We are very pleased with the progress Puma is making with its strategic investments in strengthening the brand,” said Milchan, founder of Monarch/Regency. “The financial results so far are proof of its success and our increased support reflects our commitment to the company and its management.”
