'Greed' developer to o'see latenight development
Fox exec Kary McHoul, who helped develop the net’s new gameshow “Greed,” has been upped to veep of alternative and latenight development.
She will supervise development of nontraditional primetime programming in various genres, including reality, sketch comedy and gameshows. She’ll also work on potential latenight skeins for Fox.
McHoul will report to Fox Broadcasting exec veep for alternative and special programming Mike Darnell, who announced McHoul’s promotion Wednesday.
“Kary possesses a keen sense for seeking out unconventional and nontraditional forms of programming, which has made her an invaluable asset to the alternative development department,” said Darnell. “We look forward to her continued contributions.”
McHoul had most recently been director of alternative development at Fox Broadcasting. Before that, she was at Warner Bros. Television for two years, serving as manager of comedy development for the studio.
