McAleer tapped VP, creative, for Lifetime

Exec responsible for on-air, in-print materials

NEW YORK — Marilyn McAleer has been tapped as VP of creative services for Lifetime Television.

In her new post, McAleer will be responsible for the network’s on-air and in-print materials. She will report to Rick Haskins, exec VP of marketing.

“Marilyn is a creative genius with years of groundbreaking experience in branding and positioning networks. She will be an incredible asset to Lifetime as we increase all of our marketing efforts and continue to make the network No.1 in the hearts and minds of our viewers,” Haskins said.

Previously, McAleer was the creative director for HBO Pictures and Theatricals, where she was responsible for launching the first multiplex networks for HBO and was a key player in the launch team for its international ventures in Hungary and South America. Before that, McAleer was director of Cinemax on-air promotion, where she reshaped the Cinemax brand identity.

Recently, McAleer launched WOW! Entertainment, a consulting agency focusing on branding strategies with clients such as HBO and National Geographic Channel Worldwide.
