NEW YORK — In his first major hire, Maxim’s editor-in-chief Mike Soutar has tapped former Access Hollywood segment producer Claudia Nicolayvsky for the newly created position of West Coast editor.
Nicolayvsky’s primary responsibility will be booking photo shoots, interviews, and generally being the Hollywood face of the men’s service mag. The Dennis Publishing-owned monthly recently broke the million mark in paid circulation.
The Maxim job is Nicolayvsky’s first venture into publishing. Before “Access Hollywood,” she was a producer at the “Late, Late Show with Tom Snyder” and co-founded CalMex Films, a commercial production company that focused on the Latin American market.
