Selig segues to indie producing

Keri Selig is ankling her post as senior vice president of production at Fox-based Kopelson Entertainment by the end of the week.

Selig, who joined Kopelson in August 1998, said she will be returning to independent producing.

Though Selig worked out an early exit from Kopelson, both she and company president, Stephen Brown, said the parting was amicable.

While Selig is giving up the security of a studio-funded production banner during these lean times, she has several projects already in the works, including a remake of the Jerry Lewis film “Cinderfella” at New Line, which she is producing with Industry Entertainment. Selig, who served as a co-producer on “Three to Tango,” also is attached to exec produce “Stepford Wives” for Scott Rudin and Paramount.
