As Initial Entertainment Group continues to restructure and expand its operation, two additional key positions have been filled.
David A. Jones has been named to the newly created post of VP of creative affairs, and Schuyler K. Ha has been tapped VP of marketing, effective immediately. The announcement was made by IEG CEO Graham King, to whom both men will directly report.
In his new role, Jones will focus on acquisitions and the development of a wide range of theatrical projects, working closely with Shauna Hellewell, recently appointed senior VP of production. He will serve as exec producer on the remake of the sci-fi thriller “The Tenth Victim” from director Lee Tamahori that stars Jones’ sister, Catherine Zeta-Jones.
For Ha, the appointment marks a return to IEG, where he had previously worked since the company’s inception in 1995. He left in 1998 as director of marketing. While previous duties have included creative services, advertising and publicity, the scope of his activities will broaden with his new position.
IEG is an independent finance, production and distribution company whose recent titles include Peter Berg’s “Very Bad Things,” starring Cameron Diaz, and “Savior” with Dennis Quaid.
