Nonfiction series machine GRB Entertainment capped a recent slew of appointments within the company by tapping former Castle Rock chief financial officer Al Linton chief operating officer of the company.
Linton will oversee all aspects of GRB’s entertainment business and provide strategic direction in expanding both the domestic and international markets as the company moves to broaden its role in nonfiction syndication and primetime network programming.
“Al has an exceptionally diverse background in entertainment, and his reputation in the business is unparalleled,” said company prexy and CEO Gary Benz. “With his guidance, GRB Entertainment will continue to chart a strong course in reality programming as well as expand our business to include new programming opportunities, enhance corporate synergies through a focus on production and library acquisitions and develop e-commerce ventures.”
Prior to Castle Rock, Linton served as exec VP and CFO of New World Entertainment. His early career included stints at Columbia Pictures and Cinema Five Corp.
Other recent appointments within the organization include Jason Sykes to VP of development and Inge Van Herle as VP of business affairs.
