Exec segues from Italia1

MILAN — Giorgio Gori, 39, has been appointed head of programming for all three Mediaset TV channels.

He is leaving his position as director of Italia1 and will be probably replaced by Alberto Campo Dall’Orto, 34, current head of MTV in Italy and previously Gori’s right-hand man when he was head of Mediaset’s flagship channel, Canale 5.

The appointment of Gori at the crucial position of head of Mediaset programming comes after a month of talks about a crisis at Canale 5, where several primetime shows have flopped.

Gori may have been brought in to re-energize the three networks.
