Sr. veepee to report to Goldmann

Village Roadshow Pictures has promoted exec Dana Goldberg to the position of senior vice president.

Goldberg, who will report to president of production Bernie Goldmann, has acquired at least four projects for the Warner Bros.-based producer: “Taking Lives,” “For What It’s Worth,” “Amanda’s Wedding” and “Hold-Up.”

She started her career as an assistant at Hollywood Pictures, and then became a production exec at Baltimore/Spring Creek Pictures.

Village Roadshow co-finances pics with Warner Bros. and develops material jointly with the studio. Pics include “Practical Magic,” “The Matrix,” “Analyze This” and “Deep Blue Sea.”

“Dana has terrific creative instincts and wonderful relationships,” Goldmann said. “She has been instrumental in acquiring and developing our slate of movies.”

Goldmann is working on “The In-Laws,” “Replay” and “An Honest Crook” for Village Roadshow and WB.
