Exec's abilities, track record make her ideal candidate, Staggs sez
Christine M. McCarthy has been named senior vice president and treasurer of the Walt Disney Co.
McCarthy will be responsible for all treasury functions for Disney, including risk management.
She succeeds Paul Saleh, who earlier in the year was named senior vice president and chief financial officer of Walt Disney Intl.
“Christine has an excellent and broad background in financial activities and management,” said Thomas O. Staggs, exec VP and chief financial officer. “Her proven abilities and track record make her the ideal candidate to lead our highly capable treasury department.”
McCarthy previously was executive vice president and chief financial officer of Imperial Bancorp in Los Angeles, responsible for all financial activities at the $6 billion commercial banking institution, including financial planning, investments, asset liability management and investor relations.
