Columbia TriStar TV’s new current programming team is taking shape with the appointment of Steve Tann as senior veep and Melissa Kellner as director of programming.
Tann and Kellner will work with studio vet Jeanie Bradley, who was promoted to exec VP earlier this week. Geoffrey DeStefano, who joined Col TriStar last year after a 10-year stint with advertising giant Leo Burnett Co., also serves as a director in Bradley’s department.
Tann returns to the Col TriStar fold after four years at Spelling Television, where he was senior veep of current programming and creative affairs. He went to Spelling after serving as director of primetime series development for the former TriStar TV.
Kellner, who is the daughter of WB Network chief Jamie Kellner, also comes to Col TriStar from Spelling TV, where she was director of current programming. At Spelling, she served as the primary exec on the WB weblet’s “Charmed” and its upcoming “Safe Harbor.”
