NEW YORK — Kim Martin has been named executive VP of distribution and affiliate marketing for AMC Networks.
She replaces AMC’s longtime head of distribution Mary Murano, who left for Geraldine Laybourne’s Oxygen Media earlier this summer.
Martin joins AMC from Discovery Networks, where she was senior VP of affiliate sales. Martin’s appointment was announced by AMC prexy Kate McEnroe.
AMC Networks includes American Movie Classics, Romance Classics, American Pop! and Radio City Television. AMC is owned by Rainbow Media, itself a subsidiary of Cablevision Systems.
